Itinerary

Day 1 –

Your adventure begins with a morning airport pickup at 11:00 AM, followed by a smooth check-in at your accommodation to settle in and refresh. Around 1:30 PM, enjoy a relaxed lunch at a local restaurant, sampling authentic regional flavors.

In the afternoon, take an easy hike along the Cuale River into town, a gentle introduction to the natural beauty and charm of Puerto Vallarta. As the sun sets, gather for a welcome drink at 6:00 PM โ€” the perfect time to unwind and get to know your fellow travelers.

End the day with a local dinner at 7:30 PM, sharing stories and excitement for the days ahead.

Day 2 –

Start your day with an 8:00 AM breakfast, then head out at 8:30 AM for a short drive to Boca de Tomatlรกn, a picturesque coastal village and gateway to the southern beaches.

At 9:30 AM, the group splits into two adventures:

  • Runners set off on a scenic hike or run to Yelapa 27km +967 (16.77 miles), with different route lengths to suit all levels.
  • Swimmers take on an open-water swim from Boca de Tomatlan to Quimixto 5.2km (3.23 miles), surrounded by crystal-clear waters and lush jungle views.

From 11:45 AM, swimmers enjoy a boat ride to Quimixto, stopping at hidden beaches like Las Caletas and Majahuitas along the way.

By 2:30 PM, everyone reunites for a well-deserved lunch on Yelapa Beach, followed by some free time to relax or explore the village.

In the late afternoon, a 4:30 PM boat ride takes you back to Boca de Tomatlรกn, returning to your accommodation around 6:00 PM for a shower and a bit of rest before heading out for a 7:00 PM dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3 –

The day begins with an 8:00 AM breakfast, followed by an 8:30 AM drive to Mismaloya, a lush jungle bay made famous for its wild beauty and vibrant coastline.

At 9:30 AM, the group sets off on two different adventures:

  • Runners tackle the scenic trail to El Edรฉn โ€” an 11 km route (+1,204 m elevation) through the jungle, with the option to visit the open-air zoo on the way back.
  • Swimmers enjoy a guided SUP and swim experience, with a chance to spot whales along the coast. The adventure ends with an optional 1.5 km (1 mile) swim back to shore.

At 2:00 PM, everyone gathers for a delicious lunch at a jungle seafood restaurant, paired with a tequila-tasting experience highlighting local flavors.

Return to your accommodation by 4:30 PM to shower and relax, then head out at 6:00 PM for an easy evening walk along the Malecรณn and a local dinner overlooking the ocean.

Day 4 –

Start the day with an 8:00 AM breakfast, followed by a rejuvenating 9:00 AM yoga and meditation session to connect mind and body while enjoying the peaceful coastal surroundings.

At 11:00 AM, board a catamaran for a half-day adventure of sailing, swimming, and snorkeling in the beautiful waters of Banderas Bay. Enjoy delicious food and drinks on board, soak up the sun, and take in the ocean breeze.

Return to your hotel around 3:00 PM to shower and unwind before the evening.

As the sun sets, head out at 5:00 PM for a relaxing walk along the Malecรณn, followed by a local dinner overlooking the ocean โ€” the perfect way to end a day on the water.

Day 5 –

After breackfast we depart at 9:00 AM for a scenic drive to Sayulita, the vibrant surf town known for its laid-back charm and colorful streets.

At 10:30 AM, set out on a hike or run to San Pancho, following a beautiful coastal trail of 14 km (+372 m / 8.5 miles). Those looking for an extra challenge have the option to extend the route for a longer run.

Return to Sayulita by 12:00 PM to enjoy a well-deserved lunch and some time to relax or explore the town.

In the afternoon, transfer at 4:00 PM to Playa Careyeros, a hidden gem perfect for a refreshing swim and early beachfront dinner as the sun begins to set.

After a full and rewarding day, drive back to your accommodation at 8:30 PM โ€” about 1.5 hours โ€” ready to rest and recharge for the next adventure.

Day 6 –

Start the morning with an 8:00 AM breakfast, then depart at 8:30 AM for a 2-hour drive to San Sebastiรกn del Oeste, a charming โ€œPueblo Mรกgicoโ€ nestled high in the mountains of Jalisco.

Once there, enjoy a guided tour of the historic town before setting out on a run or hike through the surrounding trails โ€” a scenic 21 km route (+1,150 m elevation) that winds through pine forests, coffee farms, and mountain viewpoints.

During the visit, stop by a local distillery to sample regional spirits and tour an organic coffee roaster, discovering the traditional flavors and craftsmanship of the area.

Return to your accommodation around 4:00 PM for a shower and some well-earned rest.

In the evening, take an easy walk along the Malecรณn at 6:00 PM, followed by a local dinner at 7:30 PM, the perfect way to unwind and savor the dayโ€™s adventures.

Day 7 –

Begin the day with an 8:30 AM drive to Punta Mita (about 1.5 hours), a stunning coastal area known for its crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life.

At 10:00 AM, embark on a whale-watching excursion and visit the famous Hidden Beach at Islas Marietas. Enjoy the incredible scenery and, for those who wish, take a free swim around the islands in this unique natural paradise.

After the adventure, enjoy a light local lunch in Punta Mita at 1:00 PM, sampling fresh coastal flavors and relaxing by the sea.

In the afternoon, choose between two experiences:

  • Run or hike El Cerro del Mono โ€“ a 10 km (6 miles each way, +300 m) scenic trail with panoramic views of the coastline.
  • Or simply relax on the beach, watching surfers ride the waves while sipping a refreshing piรฑa colada.

Wrap up the day with a 6:00 PM transfer back to the villa for a farewell dinner, sharing stories, laughter, and perhaps one last tequila toast to celebrate an unforgettable trip.

Day 8 –

Enjoy our last mexican leisurely 8:00 AM breakfast, then depart at 9:30 AM for a visit to La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, a charming coastal town known for its famous marina market. Spend the morning browsing local crafts, fresh produce, and handmade souvenirs โ€” the perfect opportunity to pick up a special keepsake from your trip.

In the afternoon, at 3:00 PM, itโ€™s time for your transfer to the airport, carrying home great memories, new friendships, and the spirit of adventure from Puerto Vallarta.

For eligible bike tours plus triathlon, swimming, and trail running,  choose between paying a cancellation fee or receiving a future trip credit/partial trip credit based on the chart below (fees are per guest):
