The Villa, or ‘Town,’ is a true oasis of peace, making it the perfect choice for country lovers. Here, you’ll find a semi-Olympic size pool for swim sessions, along with a Wellness pool to relax after training. It’s a great location for road and mountain bike rides, situated just 10km away from Piediluco Rowing Lake, making it an ideal distance for a brick session of run-swim run.

you can swim in the Villa D’Assio pool or the outdoors Olympic distance Piediluco Swimming Pool but if you are a long-distance swimmer the Piediluco Rowing Lake is the one for you!


Best Rides
The ride from any part of the Valley to Monte Terminillo at 2200m is epic! But if you prefer, you can also opt for an undulating ride around the four shrines or to the lake and do a long swim, then ride back again. If you prefer just long climbing rides, let’s head to the heart of the Apennines towards Abruzzo and its Gran Sasso at 3000m and visit Amatrice village for their Traditional Pasta Alla Amatriciana.



Best Run
Start the day with a morning run around the Valley right from the doorstep of your accommodation. It’s excellent for outdoor countryside running, with varying surfaces and terrain. You can run by the lake or through the mountains. Rieti offers a friendly cycling and running circuit of 24km, along with two fast-tracks, one in Rieti’s Athletics stadium and the second one in Terminillo, reaching an altitude of 1532m.



The peaceful and abundantly green environment is a triathlete’s dream. Rieti Valley, Piediluco Rowing Lake, and Monte Terminillo are home to a vibrant mix of affordable farm-to-table restaurants, wineries, cafes, shops, and plenty of areas to relax and enjoy the amazing scenery.
